Download sample PDF files for upload testing
Use LazyStudents Test File Generator to create sample PDFs for testing upload limits, document previews, downloads and PDF readers. Choose a quick preset or enter your own size up to 50 MiB. Each file includes readable report pages and an embedded synthetic TXT dataset.
How to generate and download a file
- Choose your format and a content preset.
- Set the content count or an exact file size for a supported format.
- Review the sample records, then select Generate.

Quick sample PDF downloads: 100 KB, 1 MB and 5 MB
These ready-made PDFs contain a readable sample report and a synthetic dataset attachment. The sizes below use decimal KB and MB; the custom generator also supports exact bytes, KiB and MiB.
Can I download a PDF of any size?
You can request an exact byte size within the 50 MiB limit, provided it is large enough for your selected pages. Tiny sizes may not fit a valid readable PDF. For a large exact-size PDF, most bytes belong to the embedded TXT dataset; the requested size does not imply the same amount of visible page content.
Will these PDFs open in a PDF reader?
They contain a standard PDF header, page objects, readable text, cross-reference table and document trailer. They are useful for ordinary upload and reader tests. They are not PDF/A or tagged accessibility conformance fixtures, and they do not simulate scanned image documents.
Need another format? Open Test File Generator for CSV, JSON, XLSX, ZIP and images.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Generation runs locally in a browser worker. The generator does not upload your generated content or require an account. Keep this page open until generation finishes. Cancel stops the worker.
Why use a seed?
The same seed and settings reproduce the same synthetic dataset, making bugs easier to investigate. Batch files use separate seeds so their records differ. Image encoding may differ between browsers.
File size and device limits
The limit is 50 MiB for a single file or the combined batch, with up to five files at a time. Available memory can impose a lower practical limit on phones. Compressed images, XLSX files and ZIP archives use content-based sizing. Unsupported image encoders produce a clear error.
