Privacy that respects student documents.

Many tools, including most Code and Data utilities, text tools, calculators, planners, and several PDF and image tools, run entirely in your browser. Text and files you use with those tools are processed on your own device and are not sent to our servers. Each tool page says how that tool works.

Files uploaded to our servers are automatically deleted within 2-3 hours. We do not permanently store your documents.

Some tools, such as PDF compression and certain conversions, upload your file for server-side processing. Job metadata can include job id, tool type, filenames, file size, status, created_at, updated_at, and expires_at. We do not store file contents in the database or retain sensitive document text permanently.

Temporary records include an expiry timestamp. Cleanup is designed to mark expired jobs and remove temporary files within the configured retention window, which is typically a few hours.

Some features, such as saved notes, collaborative notebooks, polls and surveys, require an account. We store the details needed to run your account, such as your email address and display name, and the content you choose to save in those features. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.

Cookies and local storage may be used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand how pages perform, and, where advertising is shown, to deliver and measure ads. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect features such as signing in.

We may use anonymous or aggregated analytics to understand which pages and tools are used and to find problems. We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual students.

We may show advertising on some pages through Google AdSense or similar services. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not place ads on tool pages in a way that interferes with using the tool, and we do not sell your uploaded files or document content.
