Choose the file you want to change. The editor reads the pages and the text on them, so give it a moment on long documents.
Edit existing text, insert text boxes, whiteout content, place images, and draw freehand on PDF documents online.
PDF Text Editor lets you change a PDF without going back to the original Word file. You can edit existing text, drop in new text boxes, cover content with a white box, place an image such as a signature or logo, and draw freehand notes. It is handy when a deadline is close and the source document is gone.
Choose the file you want to change. The editor reads the pages and the text on them, so give it a moment on long documents.
Select a tool from the toolbar: edit text, add a text box, whiteout, add an image, or draw. Click on the page where the change should go.
Type over existing text or place new content. Use the properties panel to adjust font, size and position until it matches the page.
Scroll through the thumbnails and confirm nothing has shifted. Fonts that are not embedded in the original can look slightly different.
Download the edited PDF. Keep your original file too, in case you need to start again.
Scanned pages are pictures, not text, so you cannot edit the words directly. You can still cover areas with whiteout, add text boxes on top, or draw.
Pages you do not touch stay as they are. Edited lines may look slightly different if the original font is not available in your browser.
Very large PDFs can be slow in a browser tab. If the editor struggles, split the file first and edit the pages you need.
Uploaded files are processed only to create your editing session and are deleted automatically within 2 to 3 hours. See the Privacy Policy for details.
